The most important system for a camper is the electric system. To build the new electrical system, we looked at Part 7, 8, and 9 of the original Owner’s Manual for basic information. Also, we knew we wanted to camp off the grid, and made sure our new battery capacity would be sufficient for a few days without hooking up the camper to an electric outlet. With the addition of a solar system, we are now able to stay off the grid for a week.
Our new power station is under the dinette’s bench. We found the rounded square lightswitches in a hardware store when we were visiting Finland, but you can find most of the items online.
